Until we come in contact with our inner self, we cannot find our true self. It takes steps of cognitive change to find our true self. Cognitive change requires cognitive therapy. The first step to enlightenment is discovering the being inside of the human. We all have a spirit inside of our physical bodies. Partaking in sacrament is vital in discovering what cognitive changes need to be made in order to find our true self. Partaking in sacrament at church (three or more) allows for religious and spiritual grow together. The religious part is the gathering of like minded individuals and in the sharing of sacrament and ceremonies (religious ritual). The spiritual part of sacrament is what we gain during prayer, meditation, and fasting whether alone or in the company of others. We can gain insight for self discovery and cognitive change. Most important, we learn and grow together. The best thing in this life is when we realize that we are not alone. Discovering that other human beings feel and want the same life we do is the beginning of a collective community. The Church of Cognitive Therapy
